Lake Conasauga is a short, easy loop hike in north Georgia, set within the Conasauga Ranger District of the Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forests. The land is also part of the Cohutta Wildlife Management Area, and the State Department of Natural Resources manages it. The trail is about a mile long, with a loop that starts and ends at nearly the same elevation. The highest point on the route is about 3,153 feet, and the lowest is about 3,130 feet. The steepest stretch comes early in the loop, with a grade of about 7 percent at about 0.06 miles in. The trail surface is natural, and the route is rated easy. Bikes and horses are not allowed on this trail. Several other hikes sit close by. Songbird is about 0.4 miles away, Emery Creek Trail is about 0.9 miles away, and Grassy Mtn Tower and Tear Britches are each about a mile away. For an overnight stay, Jacks River Fields Campground is roughly 7.6 miles away.
