Whitestone Cliffs is a climbing area in Connecticut, about 0.7 miles from the town of Greystone. It sits close to two other climbing areas, Main Slab and Upper Tier, each about 0.1 mile away, and the Whitestone Cliffs Trail lies about 0.3 mile off. The area has six trad routes, all rated between 5.5 and 5.8- on the YDS scale. The easiest is "Climb Locally" at 5.5, and the hardest is "Grande Finale" at 5.8-. The routes are all traditional, and the area is a compact cluster of crags rather than a single wall. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to climb. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Burlington show May highs around 70°F and September highs around 75°F, with July the warmest month at about 84°F. For a walk, the Whitestone Cliffs Trail is close by, and the Hancock Brook Trail is about 1.7 miles away. Northfield Brook Lake Group Shelters, about 5 miles off, offers camping, and the Naugatuck River, about 5 miles away, is a paddling option.
