The area has five routes, with styles ranging from bouldering to trad and top rope. The grades run from about 5.3 to 5.5 on the YDS scale and V1 to V2- on the V scale. Flake Face is a top-rope route at 5.3, and Corner and Crack are trad routes at 5.4 and 5.5. For timing, late spring and early fall are the most comfortable. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Burlington show May highs around 70°F and September highs around 75°F, with July the warmest month at about 84°F. Nearby, the Whitestone Cliffs Trail and Hancock Brook Trail offer hiking within a couple of miles, and Northfield Brook Lake Group Shelters and the Naugatuck River are about 5 miles away for camping and paddling.
