Sunset Rock is a bouldering area in Connecticut, about 1.7 miles from West Redding. It sits among several other climbing spots, with South Side and Bald Rock Backside each about 0.1 mile away, and Small Roof Boulder at a similar distance. The area is a cluster of boulders rather than a single climb, and the routes here are all bouldering problems. The climbing is straightforward, with seven routes listed, all bouldering problems. The grades run from V0 to V0-1, and the hardest of them is V0. The routes include Catapult, Cavern, Dog Faced Boy, Glide, Horn and Phish Face, all of which were first ascended by Morgan Patterson. For a change from the rocks, Split Rock Trail and The Lariat are both about half a mile away. Paddlers can head to the Still River, roughly 4.9 miles off, or the Norwalk River, about 7 miles away.
