Saddle Area is a bouldering area in Connecticut, about 1.7 miles from West Redding. It sits among several other climbing spots, with Small Roof Boulder, Creekside Area and Bald Rock Backside all within about a tenth of a mile. The area is a cluster of boulder problems, and the routes here are all rated on the V scale, ranging from V2 to V5. The most comfortable months for a visit are late spring through early fall. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Danbury run from highs around 69°F in May to about 74°F in September, with July the warmest at about 82°F. That station sits a few hundred feet lower than the area, so temperatures on the rock may run slightly cooler. The climbing routes here are all boulders, and the grade range is V2 to V5. Loser Love and Pleasure Palace are both V2, Pain Train is V5, and Sun Arete is V4. The Split Rock Trail and The Lariat are both hikes about 0.4 miles away.
