Pyramid Boulder is a bouldering area in Connecticut, about 1.8 miles from the town of Higganum. It sits among a cluster of climbing spots, with The Pyramid and Split Boulder each about 0.1 mile away, so it works well as part of a longer visit to the surrounding boulders. The area has four bouldering routes, all rated between V2 and V3-4 on the V scale. The routes are Avocado Sundae (V2), Pyramid Power (V2-3), Avocado Sundae Sit Start (V3) and Pyramid Power Sit Start (V3-4). The sit starts are variations of the main problems. For comfortable weather, late spring and early fall are the best bets. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Meriden run to highs around 70°F in May and 75°F in September, with July the warmest month at about 84°F. The Scovill Southern Loop and Scovill Northern Loop hikes are each about a mile away, and Higganum Creek offers canoeing about 2 miles off. Shepherd's Nine campground is roughly 4.4 miles away.
