White Trail is a short, easy hike in Connecticut, set just 0.1 mile from the Orange Trail. The route is practically a flat walk, with a high point of 317 feet and no elevation gain, and it takes about half an hour to complete. The nearest town is North End, about 1.7 miles away. The most comfortable months for a visit are late spring through early fall. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Meriden run from highs around 70°F in May to about 75°F in September, with July the warmest at around 84°F. Main Cliff and Winter Wall, two climbing areas, sit within about a mile. The Metacomet Loop Trail is about 1.2 miles away, and the Quinnipiac River, a paddling route, is about 2.4 miles off.
