The Blue-Yellow Trail is a short, easy hike in Connecticut, about 0.9 miles long and rising roughly 160 feet from its low point of 446 feet to a high of 629 feet. The trail is a point-to-point route, and the steepest stretch comes at about 0.5 miles in, where the grade reaches about 9 percent. The nearest town is Turkey Hill, about 2 miles away. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Meriden run to highs around 70°F in May and 75°F in September, and the station sits well below the trail, so temperatures on the higher ground run cooler. The trail makes an easy pairing with other outings in the area. Main Cliff, a climbing area, is about half a mile away, and the Blue-Orange Trail and Orange Trail are both within a mile. Nyack Beach State Park, another climbing area, is about a mile off.
