Seven Falls Trail is a short, easy hike in Connecticut, about a mile long and with a total elevation gain of 153 feet. It is a point-to-point route, starting at roughly 245 feet and reaching a high point of 278 feet before descending to about 170 feet. The steepest stretch comes early on, around 0.16 miles in, with a grade of about 10 percent. The nearest town is Higganum, about 1.5 miles away. The trail is a quick outing, estimated to take about half an hour, and it works well as a short stop or a link to other spots in the area. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Meriden run to highs around 70°F in May and 75°F in September, with July the warmest month at about 84°F. That station sits about 175 feet lower than the trail, so temperatures on the route run a little cooler. Climbers will find Pancake boulder about 0.1 mile away and Bible Rock about 0.2 mile away. Bear Hill Trail is about 0.6 mile off, and Higganum Creek, a paddling spot, is about 1.7 miles away.
