Hazen Blue Trail is a short, easy hike in Connecticut, about 0.6 miles from the community of Cedar Lake. The route covers 0.43 miles with a total elevation gain of 13 feet, so it's a low-key walk that you can fit in without a long commitment. The trail is a point-to-point path, and the climb is gentle. The steepest stretch comes within the first fifth of a mile, with a 5% grade. It's a flat, straightforward outing that works well as a quick stop on a day spent exploring the surrounding area. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show May highs around 70°F and September highs around 75°F, with July peaking near 84°F. The Hazen Yellow Trail and Hazen Red Trail are both about 0.3 miles away, and the Little Rock Nine Trail is roughly 1.2 miles off. Climbers can find Pad Crag about 3.6 miles away.
