Firetown Trail is an easy hike in Connecticut, about a mile away from the town of Firetown. The trail is a point-to-point route of about 1.7 miles, with a total elevation gain of 122 feet. It starts near 311 feet and reaches a high point of about 331 feet. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show May highs around 72°F and September highs around 76°F. The station sits about 140 feet lower than the trail, so temperatures on the trail run a little cooler. Bikes are not allowed on this route. The trail also works well as a short outing in a cluster of hikes, with South Trail about 0.4 miles away and Sandy Trail about 0.6 miles away. Climbers can head to Firetown Road, about 1.4 miles off.
