Yager Loop is a short, easy cross-country ski route in Colorado, about 1.6 miles from the town of Maryvale. The loop is just under a mile long, with a total elevation gain of 59 feet and a total loss of 87 feet, so it's a low-key outing that works well as a warm-up or a break between longer outings. The route starts at about 8,689 feet and reaches a high point of 8,697 feet. The steepest stretch comes at about 0.74 miles in, with a grade of about 3 percent. Winter is the natural season for this trail, and typical averages from the nearby Fraser weather station show January highs around 31°F with lows near -1°F, while June and July run in the low to mid 70s. Several other ski routes sit close by. Disco is about 0.2 miles away and The Lbc about 0.4 miles. For paddling, Ranch Creek is roughly 1.7 miles off, and Idlewild Campground is about 3.2 miles away.
