The LBC is a cross-country ski route in Colorado, about 1.8 miles from the town of Maryvale. The trail is short, covering roughly 0.68 miles, and it rises from about 8,805 feet to about 8,939 feet, a total gain of 107 feet. The climb is moderate, with the steepest stretch at about 0.55 miles in, where the grade reaches 13 percent. Winter is the natural season for this route. Typical averages from the nearby Fraser weather station show January highs around 31°F with lows near -1°F, while June runs warmer, with highs around 72°F. That station sits about 380 feet lower than the route's high point, so temperatures on the trail run a little cooler.
