W. Mountain is a moderate hike in the Eagle Ranger District of White River National Forest in Colorado, about 8.7 miles from the town of Derby Junction. The route is an out-and-back that covers roughly 12.7 miles, with a one-way climb of about 2,233 feet from a low point of 9,596 feet to a high of 11,739 feet. The trail is on natural surface and allows horses. Bikes are not permitted. Several other outings sit within a few miles. The Ute - Sweetwater mountain biking trail is about 1.9 miles away, and the Roberts and Bear Park hikes are both within about 3.6 miles. For an overnight stay, Sweetwater Lake Recreation Area is about 7.1 miles off.
