Nellie's is a 3-mile out-and-back hike in the Eagle Ranger District of Colorado's White River National Forest, managed by the Forest Service. The trail rises from about 8,531 feet to a high point of 9,861 feet, with a total elevation gain of 1,330 feet. It is a moderate route, and the trail surface is natural. Horses are allowed, but bikes are not. The trail is open year-round, so it works for a visit in any season. The Old Turret Creek Trail starts just 0.4 miles away, and the Turret Creek and Shingle Peak mountain biking routes are within about half a mile. For an overnight stay, Sweetwater Lake Recreation Area is about 2.6 miles off.
