Turret is a moderate out-and-back hike in Colorado's Flat Tops Wilderness, within the Blanco Ranger District of the White River National Forest. The trail is about 6.6 miles long, with an elevation gain of 887 feet, taking you from a low point of about 10,794 feet to a high of about 11,484 feet. The Forest Service manages the land, and the route is on natural surface. Horses are allowed, but bikes are not. The trail starts at the South Derby Trailhead, and the season is open year-round. Turret Creek and W. Mountain are both about 1.4 miles away, and Luark is about 1.9 miles off. For an overnight stay, Cutthroat Campground is about 7 miles away.
