Johnson Pasture is a hard hike in the Eagle Ranger District of Colorado's White River National Forest, managed by the Forest Service. The route is an out-and-back of about 7.8 miles, with a one-way elevation gain of 1,072 feet, taking you from a low point of about 9,382 feet to a high of about 10,557 feet. The trail is on natural surface and allows horses, but not bikes. It is open year-round, so you can plan a trip for any season. Harold's Trail lies about 1.2 miles away, and the Ute Trail is about 2.2 miles off.
