Transfer Trail is a 2.9-mile hike in Colorado's White River National Forest, within the Rifle Ranger District. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail is rated easy, with a total elevation gain of 800 feet. The most comfortable months for a visit are typically late spring and early fall. Typical averages from the nearby Shoshone weather station show May highs around 71°F and September highs around 79°F, while July averages climb to about 89°F. The hike takes about 1.5 hours. Deep Lake Campground and Johnson Pasture are both within about 3.5 miles, and Broken Rib and Palmer Lake are a little farther out.
