Eye to Eye is a 4.3-mile out-and-back hike in Colorado's Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests, on the Sulphur Ranger District. It rises from about 9,070 feet to a high point near 9,931 feet, with an elevation gain of about 860 feet. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail is open from July 1 through November 15. Summer and early fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Fraser, about 3 miles away, show July highs around 77°F and September highs around 68°F. That station sits roughly 1,400 feet lower than the trail's high point, so temperatures on the ridge run cooler. Bikes and horses are both allowed, and the trail is natural-surface. Idlewild Campground is about 0.4 miles away, and the Ice Hill mountain biking area is about 0.1 mile away. Blue Sky, a hike, is about half a mile off. Climbers can reach the Vasquez Road area about 1.3 miles away.
