Ice Hill is an easy out-and-back hike of about 1.8 miles in the Sulphur Ranger District of the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests in Colorado, managed by the Forest Service. The trail is short and gentle, with a total elevation gain of about 72 feet, and it sits at roughly 9,000 feet, with the high point around 9,060 feet. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from the nearby Fraser weather station, which sits a few hundred feet lower, show July highs around 77°F with lows near 38°F, while winter highs stay around 31°F with lows dipping to about -1°F. The trail is on natural surface and allows horses. Blue Sky is a hike just 0.1 mile away, and the Twin Bridges mountain biking trail is 0.2 mile off. Idlewild Campground is about 0.7 mile away, and the Vasquez Road climbing area is about 0.8 mile away.
