Bill Creek is a moderate hike of about 5.2 miles on the Sulphur Ranger District of the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests in Colorado, managed by the Forest Service. The trail is an out-and-back with a one-way climb of about 1,176 feet, starting at roughly 9,131 feet and reaching about 10,319 feet at the high point. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at about 9,000 feet show July highs around 73°F with lows near 40°F, and the station sits well below the trail, so temperatures on the higher parts of the route run cooler. The trail is on natural surface and allows both horses and bikes. Sherman Creek Trail and West Stillwater Trail are both within a mile, and Denver Creek Campground is about 6.4 miles away.
