Whiskey Cliff / Eagle Creek Cliff is a climbing area in the Desolation Wilderness, part of the Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit in California. The Forest Service manages the surrounding land, and the cliffs sit within designated wilderness. Summer is the most comfortable time to climb here. Typical averages from the Dagget Pass weather station, about 13 miles away, show July highs near 75°F with lows around 49°F and only about two wet days in the month. Winter is much colder, with January highs around 36°F and lows near 23°F. Eagle Lake Cliff lies just 0.1 mile away, and the Climbers Trail to Eagle Lake Buttress starts about 0.3 mile off. Eagle Lake Trail is roughly half a mile away, and Bayview Campground, about 1.4 miles away, is the closest place to camp.
