True Summit Block is a climbing area in Bunnell Open Space, a city-managed open space in California. It sits on city land, and the surrounding area is packed with other climbing spots and trails, so it works well as a base for a day of bouldering or a longer outing. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show May highs around 72°F and October highs around 78°F, with almost no wet days in July and August. That station sits about 1,000 feet lower than the block, so temperatures here run cooler. Hidden Gully and Good Times on Planet Earth are both about 0.1 mile away, and Bishop Peak Trail is 0.2 mile off. For an overnight stay, Cerro Alto is about 9 miles away.
