Cabrillo Peak is a climbing area in Morro Bay State Park in California, managed by State Park and Recreation. It sits within the park's network of trails and rock, with several other climbing spots and hiking routes close by. The weather here stays mild year-round, with typical averages from a nearby weather station showing highs around 65 to 72°F from spring through fall. Summer and early fall are the driest stretch, with almost no wet days from July through October. That station sits a few hundred feet below the peak, so temperatures on the summit run a little cooler. Rock Land is just 0.1 mile away, and the Live Oak Trail, South Bay Trail and Portola Trail are each about 0.2 mile off. For an overnight stay, Morro Bay State Park Campground is about 2 miles away.
