Lizard's Mouth is a climbing area in the Santa Barbara Ranger District of Los Padres National Forest in California, managed by the Forest Service. It sits within the national forest's range, and its setting is defined by the surrounding forest district. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Gibraltar Dam show May highs around 80°F with lows near 46°F, and November highs around 73°F with lows near 40°F. That station sits several hundred feet lower than the climbing area, so temperatures up high run cooler. Soot Patrol Boulder and Yeti Boulder are both about 0.4 miles away, making them easy add-ons to a day at Lizard's Mouth. For an overnight, Fremont Campground and Paradise Campground are each about 4.5 miles off.
