Lower Missing Link is a mountain biking route in California's Tahoe National Forest, within the Truckee Ranger District. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail is a short out-and-back of about 1.8 miles, with a moderate climb of 371 feet from a low point of 6,814 feet to a high of 7,157 feet. Summer is the most comfortable time to ride. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Tahoe City show July highs around 78°F with lows near 46°F and only about one wet day in the month. That station sits roughly 900 feet below the route, so temperatures on the trail run cooler. Valley View and Cinder Cone are both about 0.2 miles away. Silver Creek-Truckee campground is about 1.6 miles off, and the Light Deprivation Buttress climbing area is about 2.5 miles away.
