Silver Creek Campground is a Forest Service campground in the Truckee Ranger District of Tahoe National Forest in California, about a tenth of a mile from the Silver Creek-Truckee campground. The two sites sit close together, and the Forest Service manages the land. The site has vault toilets, and a fee is charged for stays. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Tahoe City show July highs around 78°F with lows near 46°F and only about one wet day in the month. Winter brings highs around 40°F and several snowy days a month from December through February. The Western States Trail and the Valley View mountain biking area are both about a mile away. Climbers can head to Light Deprivation Buttress, roughly 1.3 miles off, and Goose Meadows campground is about 2.4 miles away.
