Humbug103 is a moderate out-and-back hike of about 1.7 miles in the Oak Knoll Ranger District of Klamath National Forest in northern California. The trail rises roughly 500 feet from a low point of about 2,855 feet to a high of about 3,288 feet, and its natural surface makes it a straightforward walk without much in the way of trail construction. For comfortable weather, aim for late spring or early fall. Typical averages from the nearby Yreka weather station show May highs around 74°F and October highs around 70°F. That station sits several hundred feet lower than the trail's high point, so temperatures on the summit run cooler. Several other Humbug hikes sit close by, including Humbug104 about 0.2 miles away and Humbug102 about 0.4 miles away. Tree of Heaven Campground is about 5 miles off for anyone planning an overnight stay.
