Womble Trail is a 7.9-mile out-and-back hike in the Oden Ranger District of Arkansas's Ouachita National Forest, managed by the Forest Service. The trail rises from a starting point at about 693 feet to a high of 764 feet, with a total elevation gain of 339 feet. The climb is moderate, and the steepest stretch comes at about 1.6 miles in, where the grade reaches 22%. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Mount Ida show October highs around 75°F with lows near 49°F, and April is similar at about 74°F by day and 49°F at night. July and August average highs of 93°F. Several other trails lie within a few miles. The Womble Trail Cutoff is about 3 miles away, the Ottis Morris Trail about 3.6 miles, and Womble Trail North about 5 miles. Anglers can head to the Caddo/Womble Ranger District lake fishing area, roughly 8.5 miles off.
