Brushy Creek is a 7.2-mile out-and-back hike in the Oden Ranger District of Ouachita National Forest in Arkansas, managed by the Forest Service. The trail is rated hard, with a total climb of about 594 feet and a steepest grade of 21% around the 3.2-mile mark. The route starts at about 950 feet and reaches a high point of 1,444 feet. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show October highs around 69°F with lows near 52°F, and April is similar at about 69°F by day and 50°F at night. The station sits a few hundred feet lower than the trail's high point, so temperatures on the ridge run a little cooler. Mountain Top and Rockhouse are both about 2 miles away, and the Serendipity Trail and Macedonia Pond are within 5 miles.
