Womble Trail is an easy, out-and-back hike of about 1.3 miles in the Oden Ranger District of Arkansas's Ouachita National Forest. The trail climbs to a high point of 733 feet from a low of 666 feet, with a total elevation gain of 139 feet. The steepest stretch comes at about 0.56 miles in, with a grade of 9 percent. The route is short and gentle, so it works well as a quick stop. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Mount Ida put April highs around 74°F and October highs around 75°F, while July and August average highs near 93°F. The hike takes about half an hour, so plan on a short outing. The trail is within the Ouachita National Forest and managed by the Forest Service, and the Womble Trail Cutoff lies about 2.6 miles away. The Ottis Morris Trail is about 3.8 miles off. Rocky Shoals Spur Trail and Macedonia Pond are both within about 10 miles.
