Wildcat Trail is a 2.4-mile out-and-back hike in the Buffalo Ranger District of Arkansas's Ozark-St. Francis National Forest. It starts and ends at about 2,435 feet, climbs to 2,436 feet at the high point, and drops back to the start, with a total elevation gain of 1,323 feet. The trail is rated moderate, and the steepest stretch comes early, around 0.35 miles in, where the grade reaches 20%. The route is on natural surface, and bikes are allowed. Horses are not. The Forest Service manages the land. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show October highs around 67°F with lows near 48°F, and April highs around 66°F. Summer highs reach about 85°F. The trail sits among several other routes. Skyline Trail and Sidewinder Trail are each within a quarter mile. Twisted Hickory Trail and Trail of the Ancients are both under a mile away.
