Azalea Falls Trail is a hard hike of about 6.9 miles in the Buffalo Ranger District of the Ozark-St. Francis National Forest in Arkansas, managed by the Forest Service. The trail is an out-and-back with a steady climb, rising from about 1,758 feet to about 2,382 feet. The steepest stretch comes at about 3 miles in, with a grade of about 14 percent. Bikes are allowed on the natural-surface trail, but horses are not. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show May highs around 72°F and October highs around 67°F, while July and August average about 85°F. Several other trails start close by. Zeester Trail is about 0.2 miles away, Trail of the Ancients about 0.3 miles, and South Bench Trail about 0.4 miles. Skyline Trail is about a mile off.
