Glory Hole is an easy out-and-back hike on natural trail surface in the Buffalo Ranger District of the Ozark-St. Francis National Forest in Arkansas. The trail is 2 miles long and climbs about 350 feet from the trailhead, with the high point reaching 2,121 feet. The steepest stretch comes near mile 0.83, with a 15% grade. The trail is not accessible and does not allow horses or bikes. The trailhead is Glory Hole Trailhead, and the route is open year-round. Fall is a comfortable time to go: typical averages from the nearby Deer, AR weather station show October highs around 65°F with lows near 49°F. That station sits about 250 feet higher than the trail, so temperatures on the trail may run slightly warmer. Within a short drive, Knucklehead Trail and Fire Tower Trail are both about 5 miles away, and paddlers can head to Big Piney Creek. Climbers will find Cowell/Deer Area about 6 miles off.
