West Side is a climbing area on State Trust Land in Arizona, managed by the State Department of Land. It sits about 0.1 mile from the East Side climbing area, and the DWS East Side and DWS West Side areas are each within about a mile and a half. The area is known for its mix of sport and trad routes, with a range of grades from 5.8 up to 5.14d. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from the Winslow airport weather station, about 7 miles away, show April highs around 72°F and October highs around 74°F, while July averages reach 95°F. The area has 50 routes, with sport climbing making up the majority. Trad routes include Black Juju at 5.8, and mixed climbing is found on Bocephus at 5.11d. The hardest route is Frequency at 5.14d.
