Casino Cliffs is a sport climbing area in Arizona's Coconino National Forest, within the Mogollon Rim Ranger District. The Forest Service manages the land, and the cliffs sit close together with several named climbing areas within a few hundred yards, including Cracker Jack Cliffs, Main Wall and Swiss Wall. The climbing here is all sport, and the routes range from 5.5 to 5.12d. A typical grade run is from 5.10b as the median to 5.12d as the hardest. Some of the named routes include Gumby at 5.5, Double or Nothin' at 5.9 and Lost Wages at 5.12d. For timing, late spring and early fall are the most comfortable seasons. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Blue Ridge put May highs around 70°F and September highs around 76°F. That station sits about 800 feet lower than the cliffs, so temperatures at the rock run cooler. The closest hikes are Red Hill at about 7 miles and Cross Road at about 8 miles.
