Waterfall Area is a climbing area in the Payson Ranger District of Tonto National Forest in Arizona. It sits within the forest's network of climbing and hiking spots, and several other destinations lie within a short drive. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from the Pleasant Valley weather station, about 15 miles away, show May highs around 76°F and October highs around 72°F, while July and August average highs near 88°F with more wet days. Box Canyon Trail is just 0.3 miles away, and the Yodel Wall and Christopher Creek Gorge climbing areas are each about half a mile off. Christopher Creek Campground is roughly a mile away.
