Wilson Mountain Spur D is a short out-and-back hike in the Red Rock Ranger District of Coconino National Forest, Arizona, on Forest Service land. It covers about a third of a mile, rising from 4,520 feet to 4,645 feet, a gain of roughly 124 feet. The trail is part of the network that serves Allens Bend, and the parking area there is the natural place to start. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Sedona run from highs around 75°F in April to about 79°F in October, while midsummer highs reach the mid-90s. The station sits a few hundred feet lower than the trail, so temperatures on the spur run a little cooler. Horses are allowed, and the route is close to more to do. Allens Bend #111, the Beach climbing area and The Surf climbing area all lie about 0.1 mile away. For an overnight, Manzanita campground is about 3.4 miles off.
