The Surf is a sport climbing area in the Red Rock Ranger District of Coconino National Forest in Arizona, managed by the Forest Service. It sits among a cluster of climbing and hiking destinations, with The Beach and Bikini Wall both about 0.1 mile away and Allens Bend, a mountain biking area, at a similar distance. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Sedona show April highs around 75°F and October highs around 79°F, while July averages climb to about 97°F. The area has five sport routes, all rated between 5.10a and 5.13-. The Lineup is a 5.10, Surf's Up! is a 5.12-, and Riptide is a 5.13-. Manzanita campground is about 3.5 miles away, and Oak Creek, a paddling spot, is about 4.3 miles away.
