North Wilson #123 is an easy out-and-back hike in the Red Rock Ranger District of Coconino National Forest in northern Arizona, managed by the Forest Service. The trail is about 4 miles long, with a one-way climb of roughly 1,600 feet from a low point of about 4,700 feet to a high of about 6,300 feet. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Mund's Park show May highs around 69°F and October highs around 66°F, while July and August bring the most wet days. Horses are allowed on this route, and bikes are not. The trail sits close to several climbing areas, including The Double Clutching Wall and The Right Wall, and the North Wilson mountain biking route, all about 0.4 miles away. Sterling Pass #46 is about a mile off, and Manzanita campground is about 1.2 miles away.
