Viewpoint is a moderate loop hike of about 2.7 miles in the Springerville Ranger District of the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests in eastern Arizona. The trail is managed by the Forest Service and rises about 624 feet from roughly 9,276 feet to about 9,625 feet. The route is a loop with a natural surface. Bikes and horses are both allowed, and the trail is not accessible. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from the nearby Sunrise Mtn weather station show July highs around 71°F with lows in the mid-40s, while winter highs hover around 42°F with lows near 11°F. The closest neighbors are the Grouse and Summit mountain biking trails, both under a mile away. Hikers can also reach the Pole Knoll cross-country ski area about 1.2 miles off and Rolfe C. Hoyer Campground about 3.9 miles away.
