Mt Baldy Crossover is a 7-mile out-and-back hike in Arizona's Mount Baldy Wilderness, part of the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests and managed by the Forest Service's Springerville Ranger District. The trail rises about 400 feet from a low point of 9,242 feet to a high of 9,597 feet. The route is rated hard and has a natural surface. Horses are allowed, but bikes are not, and the trail is not accessible. Because it passes through designated wilderness, plan for the full wilderness experience. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from the nearby Sunrise Mtn weather station show July highs around 71°F with lows near 44°F, while winter highs sit around 42°F with lows in the teens. West Baldy lies just 0.2 miles away, and the West Fork (Lc) and Lee Valley Reservoir Trail are both within about 1.5 miles. For camping, Winn is about 2 miles away.
