Pole Knoll is a 6.2-mile loop hike in the Springerville Ranger District of the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests in eastern Arizona, managed by the Forest Service. The route gains about 357 feet in elevation, and the climb is one way, so a round trip would double that. The most comfortable months for a visit are typically May and September, when typical averages from the nearby Greer weather station run around 66°F and 70°F, with lows near 33°F and 41°F. July and August are warmer but much wetter, with about 14 to 16 wet days a month. The trail sits close to other outdoor options. The Red Tail mountain biking trail and the Summit cross-country ski trail are each about 0.2 miles away, and the Osprey mountain biking trail is about 0.3 miles off. For camping, Rolfe C. Hoyer Campground is about 3.1 miles away.
