Turkey Trail is a moderate out-and-back hike of about 4.3 miles on the Clifton Ranger District of the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests in eastern Arizona. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail starts from a natural surface with no accessible route. The climb is gentle, rising about 190 feet from a low point of 5,995 feet to a high of 6,545 feet. Spring and fall are the most comfortable seasons to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Black River Pumps show May highs around 77°F and October highs around 72°F, while July and August bring highs in the upper 80s and roughly twice as many wet days. Bikes and horses are both allowed on the trail, and it stays open year-round. Pipestem lies about 1.3 miles away and Ad Bar about 2.3 miles away, with Bear Pen Springs about 3.5 miles off. For an overnight base, Upper Juan Miller Campground is about 6.6 miles away.
