Stateline is a hard hike of about 7 miles on the Clifton Ranger District of the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests in eastern Arizona, managed by the Forest Service. The nearest town is Charlie Moore Place, about 3 miles away. The trail is an out-and-back with a one-way climb of about 740 feet, from a low point of about 6,000 feet to a high of about 6,800 feet. It is a natural-surface route, and it is open to both horses and bikes. It is not an accessible trail. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Luna, New Mexico, show May highs around 75°F and October highs around 71°F, while July and August bring the most wet days, about 14 and 15 a month. Several other hikes start close by, including Little Blue, Winter and Hannah Trail, all within about a mile and a half. The Blue River, about 7.5 miles away, offers canoeing.
