Keller is an easy, out-and-back hike in the Glenwood Ranger District of Arizona's Gila National Forest, about 2.3 miles long with a total elevation gain of 248 feet. The trail runs from a low point of about 6,300 feet to a high of about 6,513 feet, and it is managed by the Forest Service. The route is natural-surface and open to both horses and bikes. It is not an accessible trail, so plan on a walk or ride rather than a wheelchair trip. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show April highs around 75°F and October highs around 76°F, while June and July average in the low 90s. The Keller trail is open year-round, and several other hikes sit within a few miles, including Stateline at about 1.8 miles, Little Blue at about 2 miles and Hannah Trail at about 2.1 miles. Paddlers can find the Blue River about 6.9 miles away.
