Mint Springs is a moderate hike of about 3.4 miles in the Pusch Ridge Wilderness, part of the Santa Catalina Ranger District of Coronado National Forest in Arizona. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail is a natural-surface out-and-back that gains about 167 feet from its low point of 7,889 feet to a high of 8,111 feet. The trail is open to both horses and bikes, so riders and pack animals can join the walk. The route is short and gentle, with a low climb that makes it easy to fit into a longer day in the area. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Mt Lemmon Willow Canyon show May highs around 71°F and October highs around 68°F, while winter highs sit near 50°F. Marshall Gulch Trail #3 starts just 0.1 mile away, and the Entrance Boulders climbing area and the Aspen mountain biking route are each about 0.2 mile off. For an overnight stay, Spencer Canyon campground is about 2.2 miles away.
