Canada Del Oro is a hard hike in the Santa Catalina Ranger District of Coronado National Forest in Arizona, managed by the Forest Service. The trail is about 16 miles long, with a one-way elevation gain of 223 feet, and it is an out-and-back route that starts and ends at the same point. The trail is natural-surfaced and allows both horses and bikes. It is not an accessible trail. The most comfortable months for a visit are typically May and September, when typical averages from a nearby weather station at Mt Lemmon Willow Canyon run around 71°F and 75°F. That station sits about 1,500 feet below the high point of the hike, so temperatures up high run cooler. The Mount Lemmon Trail #5 mountain biking route is just 0.2 miles away, and the Ravelin and Fortress climbing areas are each about half a mile off. For an overnight stay, Spencer Canyon campground is about 4 miles away.
