Lizard Head #165F is a short, easy hike in the Red Rock Ranger District of Coconino National Forest in Arizona, managed by the Forest Service. The route is an out-and-back of about 1.1 miles, with a low point of 4,608 feet and a high of 4,663 feet, so the climb is only about 31 feet one way. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Sedona show October highs around 79°F with lows near 51°F, and April highs around 75°F with lows near 44°F.
