Flagstaff Loop - Segment 27-34 is a 19.4-mile out-and-back hike on natural surface in the Flagstaff Ranger District of Coconino National Forest in northern Arizona. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail climbs from about 6,829 feet to a high point of 7,042 feet, with a total elevation gain of 129 feet. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from the nearby Flagstaff Pulliam airport weather station, at a similar elevation, show May highs around 68°F and September highs around 74°F, with fewer wet days than in midsummer, when July and August see about 11 to 13 wet days a month. Nearby, the Flagstaff Ranger District fishing area sits about a mile away, and the Arizona Trail-Flagstaff, the Burnt Corral Trail and the Skunk Canyon mountain biking route are each about 2 miles off. Marshall Lake is roughly 7 miles away.
